ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 24. Turkmenistan has sold a large batch of kerosene to business representatives from the British Virgin Islands and Afghanistan on its commodity exchange, Trend reports.
According to official data, entrepreneurs from the British Virgin Islands and Afghanistan have 5,500 tons of kerosene on the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan. The total value of transactions amounted to $4.2 million.
At the same time, businessmen from Türkiye signed contracts with the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan in exchange for the purchase of 214.5 tons of cotton yarn for $390,300.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. The country pays great attention to the construction of oil and gas processing plants as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
