ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 26. Turkmenistan's retail trade turnover increased by 9.4 percent from January through July 2023 compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldimyradov at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on August 25, 2023.
As per his statements, the volume of products produced in Turkmenistan during the reporting period increased by 6.3 percent compared to the figures of the first seven months of 2022, and the foreign trade turnover increased by 4.9 percent.
Furthermore, Geldimyradov noted that the growth rate of Turkmenistan's GDP from January to July this year amounted to 6.2 percent.
The meeting summed up the results of seven months of work within the framework of the implementation of the national rural program, where it was noted that the construction of social facilities for various purposes is being successfully carried out throughout the country.
