ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 27. The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan held auctions last week, at which it concluded contracts with foreign entrepreneurs for the export of its products totaling $8 million, Trend reports.
The exchange's data show that entrepreneurs from China purchased technical iodine produced by the Turkmenhimiya State Concern, and Afghan businessmen – polypropylene manufactured at the enterprises of the Turkmennebit State Concern.
Furthermore, representatives of the business circles of the UAE, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan. Kyrgyzstan has acquired smooth-dyed and jacquard terry products in the assortment, bedding sets, men's shirts, rolled cotton wool, cotton yarn, denim fabric, regenerated fiber from textile waste.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan's businessmen purchased polypropylene produced by the Turkmennebit State Concern for the domestic market for a total amount of 2.88 million Turkmen manat ($822,856).
A total of 16 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
During the previous reporting period, the number of currency transactions on exchange in Turkmenistan exceeded $90 million.
