BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 7. The textile factory located in the Halach district of the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan produced almost 3,568 tons of cotton yarn from January through September this year, Trend reports.
During this time, Turkmenistan's enterprise produced cotton yarn worth around 48.3 million Turkmen manats ($13.8 million), thereby meeting the output target.
Furthermore, from January to September of this year, the plant sold goods worth nearly 15.5 million Turkmen manat ($4.42 million) to Turkey, Russia, and Uzbekistan.
Turkmenistan plans to invest more than $300 million in the textile industry by 2025 and implement more than 30 projects.
The major areas of these investments are the development of current capabilities and the establishment of more than ten new production facilities based on existing firms.
