ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 28. The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Georgia in October of this year reached a total volume of $14.29 million, Trend reports.
According to the data of the National Statistical Committee of Georgia, in this month, the trade turnover is 53.8 percent more than in September ($9.35 million) and 2.7 times more than in August this year ($5.13 million).
From January through October of this year, the total volume of trade transaction between Turkmenistan and Georgia was $73.5 million, which is 2.2 times less than the same period in 2022 ($168.1 million).
Turkmenistan's exports to Georgia totaled $65.8 million in the first ten months of 2023, a 2.3-fold decline from the same period in 2022, when exports were estimated at $152.5 million.
At the same time, Turkmenistan imported $7.5 million in commodities from Georgia from January to October this year, which is half the amount imported during the same period previous year, when imports were assessed at $15.5 million.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Georgia totaled $186.4 million in the preceding year, signaling a significant decline in the current year's trade activity.
