ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 14. The Turkmenabat chemical plant, named after Saparmurat Niyazov and located in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, produced 246,535 tons of phosphorous mineral fertilizers from January through November 2023, Trend reports.
In value terms, the plant overall manufactured chemical products worth more than 94.1 million Turkmen manat ($26.9 million).
Furthermore, in the first eleven months, the plant produced 89,560 tons of sulfuric acid and 197 tons of bleaching powder, successfully achieving the plan.
Meanwhile, the plant manufactured 270,500 tons of phosphoric mineral fertilizers and 111,000 tons of sulfuric acid last year, exceeding the production plan by 20.8 percent.
The Turkmenabat chemical plant stands as the sole production facility in Turkmenistan dedicated to manufacturing phosphorus fertilizers essential for enhancing crop yields, including cotton, grain, and various agricultural production.
