ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 14. Sun Pharma,a major Indian pharmaceutical company, intends to open a representative office in Turkmenistan, representatives of the company said during a meeting with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev, Trend reports.

According to the Turkmen Embassy, Sun Pharma is also interested in establishing a joint venture for the production of medicines in Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of the intensification of Indian-Turkmen trade and economic cooperation.

The Turkmen ambassador told the company's representatives about the legislative provision of foreign investments in Turkmenistan, which helps attract foreign investments, and invited the delegation of the Indian pharmaceutical company to visit the country to discuss specific investment proposals and partnership agreements.
