ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 16. Industrial enterprises in the Lebap region, located in the east of Turkmenistan, sold products worth more than 6.36 billion Turkmen manat ($1.82 billion) over the past year, Trend reports.
During the reporting period, the enterprises exported 71.4 percent of the total volume of industrial goods sold, sending them to foreign countries.
Furthermore, industrial enterprises of the Lebap region manufactured products worth more than 24.2 billion Turkmen manat ($6.93 billion) over the past year, of which 3.1 billion Turkmen manat ($887.3 million) in December alone.
Meanwhile, in recent years, Turkmenistan's industrial sector has been actively developing thanks to strategic investments in various industries, such as oil and gas, textiles, and chemical industries, which contribute to increasing production and exports of goods, increasing competitiveness in the world market, and improving the country's economic well-being.
