ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 26. Last week, Turkmenistan staged auctions on its State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange, where it auctioned raw commodities valued approximately $13.8 million, Trend reports.
According to the exchange, this is about 3.2 times less than in the previous reporting period, when the cost of raw materials sold amounted to $44.5 million.
For foreign currency, representatives of the business circles of Türkiye, the UAE and Afghanistan purchased polypropylene of the TPP D 30 S brand and base oil of the SN-180 brand produced by the Turkmennebit State Concern (national oil company).
At the same time, other representatives of the UAE business community also purchased crude dried licorice roots and rhizomes worth over $300,000, and its entrepreneurs from Türkiye purchased cotton yarn worth $67,840.
Furthermore, local Turkmen entrepreneurs purchased TPP D 30 S polypropylene produced by the Turkmennebit State Concern for the domestic market.
Meanwhile, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation for export-import operations.
