ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, April 2. Turkmenistan plans to build a plant for the production of ammonia and carbamide, Trend reports.

According to an official source, the Turkmenhimiya State Concern of Turkmenistan is looking for a contractor for the construction of an ammonia and carbamide production plant to be erected in Kiyanli village in the Balkan region located in the west of the country.

The state concern plans to consider all proposals from interested organizations in early May of this year, after which it is planned to finalize the contract with the contractor.

Furthermore, it was previously reported that the production capacity of the planned plant will be 1,200 tons of ammonia and 1,950 tons of granular urea per day.

The site for the construction of the plant was chosen taking into account the availability of raw materials, as it was previously planned that the plant would consume 450–500 million cubic meters of natural gas per year.

Meanwhile, as a result of strategic investments and modern technological developments, the production of urea and ammonia in Turkmenistan is undergoing a phase of rapid development.

Favorable conditions for industrial development, such as access to natural resources and geographical location, allow the country to confidently enter the global fertilizer market, and the implementation of large-scale projects, such as the construction of new plants and the modernization of existing ones, helps to increase production capacity and increase the competitiveness of products.
