ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, May 30. Turkmenistan is interested in developing cooperation with Iranian businessmen, Trend reports.
According to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, this interest was expressed during a meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and members of the Iranian business delegation.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current state and promising areas of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
At the same time, they noted that there are great opportunities for deepening relations in trade, investment, and industry, and therefore, it is necessary to activate all mechanisms for the development of bilateral cooperation in these areas.
Furthermore, the parties emphasized that the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission for Economic Cooperation occupies a special place in this work.
Meanwhile, cooperation between businessmen in Turkmenistan and Iran has significantly strengthened in recent years, which has been facilitated by bilateral initiatives aimed at improving trade and investment relations.
These efforts include the holding of joint business forums, the development of transport and logistics infrastructure, and the creation of favorable conditions for doing business, which contributed to the growth of economic ties and an increase in mutual trade.
