ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, June 6. The new high-voltage power transmission line "Balkan - Dashoguz" was put into operation in the Dashoguz region of Turkmenistan, Trend reports.
At the same time, two electrical substations with a voltage of 500 kV each, built on this route as part of the project to create a single energy ring in the country, were commissioned.
A closed energy ring will ensure the reliability of the domestic energy network due to the mutual redundancy between the energy systems of the country’s regions and Ashgabat.
Thanks to this, power engineers will be able to repair and modernize power units, electrical substations, and power lines without harming consumers.
The commissioning of new important facilities in the electric power industry - power transmission line "Balkan-Dashoguz" and two electrical substations—marked the successful completion of a project to create a single energy ring in Turkmenistan.
To note, all work on laying the Balkan-Dashoguz power line with a length of 572 kilometers was carried out by local energy builders.
Meanwhile, in recent years, Turkmenistan has actively pursued the development of electricity production, with a focus on enhancing existing power plants and constructing new facilities.
This strategic endeavor aims to bolster the country's energy capacity, foster stable economic growth, and improve the standard of living for its populace.
