ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, June 11. Electricity generation in Turkmenistan has been undergoing rapid growth from January through May this year, Trend reports.
According to the official source, this was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan Baymyrat Annamammedov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on June 7.
He said that in the first five months of this year, the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan exceeded the production plan and the work done by 8.5 percent.
Furthermore, Annamammedov added that during the specified period, the plan for the production and provision of services by the Turkmenhimiya State Concern was exceeded by 46.2 percent, the State Agency for Road Construction Management by 7.6 percent, and the municipality of Ashgabat city by 21 percent.
Meanwhile, in recent years, Turkmenistan has actively pursued the development of electricity production, concentrating on improving existing power plants and building new facilities.
This strategic initiative aims to strengthen the country's energy capacity, promote stable economic growth, and enhance the standard of living for its citizens.
