ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, June 21. The Balkansement plant of the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan manufactured and shipped more than 311,400 tons of high-quality cement to consumers in the region and the country from January through May this year, Trend reports.
According to official data, all production, starting from the crushing, grinding, and cooking of raw materials, including cement mills, is carried out in an automated way.
The raw materials needed for cement production and the development of the construction industry are extracted at a mine located near the plant.
Furthermore, Balkansement plant with a design capacity of 1 million tons of cement per year and located in the village of Jebel in the Balkan region of Turkmenistan was commissioned on October 10, 2011.
Meanwhile, in March of this year, Turkmenistan launched the second phase of the Lebap Cement Plant, located in the Koytendag district of the eastern region of the country.
Due to the increasing dynamics of the construction of industrial and social facilities in Turkmenistan, industry is becoming one of the most important sectors of the economy.
