(Turkmenistan.ru) - Turkmen President Saparmurat Niyazov has signed a decree, according to which "Turkmengeologiya" State Corporation was authorized to sign a contract with the Swiss MRKS AG joint stock company for the delivery of "Delta Geon-02" seismic signals registration complex to study seismic activity zones in Turkmenistan. The contract's value is US$ 94,000, reports Trend.
The same document allows "Turkmengeologiya" State Corporation to sign a contract with the Iranian IRAN KAOLINE & BARITE company for the supply of 15 thousand tons of barite weighting agents to drill deep exploration wells. The deal's value is US$ 1.575 million.
The State Fund for development of the oil and gas industry and mineral resources of Turkmenistan shall finance the contracts at the expense of "Turkmengaz" and "Turkmenneft" State Concerns equally covering the cost from the revenues generated as a result of natural gas and its processed products exports.
