All 64 out-of-competition doping tests at the Asian Cup have been negative, tournament director Tokuaki Suzuki said Monday.
Suzuki said random tests were being made as well as post-match tests during the tournament, DPA reported.
"We are very pleased to announce that since the day the teams arrived we have conducted 64 out-of-competition tests and all turned out to be negative," he said.
Japan's goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima, who was red-carded in his side's victory against Syria, has been given a one-match ban.
Japan assistant coach Stefano Agresti, who was also shown a red card, has been fined 3,000 dollars and also suspended for one match, Suzuki said.
He confirmed that the Chinese team had written a letter of protest against the sending-off of their coach Gao Hongbo during Sunday's 2-2 draw against Uzbekistan.
