Hot, cold water, heating tariffs rise in Tashkent

Tariffs on central heating, cold and hot water supplies for population and organizations will rise by 6.3 percent in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from Oct. 1, the Tashteploenergo and public enterprise Cuvsoz reported.

In particular, monthly rate on central heating increased from 436.27 sums (UZS) per square meter of floor space to 463.93 sums.

The hot water tariffs will increase to 1,486.67 sums per cubic meter from present to 1,398.04 sums by meters, and 5,805.82 sums from person per month from present 5,460 sums without meters.

The cold water tariffs will increase from current 78 sums per cubic meter to 83 sums, excluding VAT, and for sewerage system to 47 per cubic meter from present rate 43 sums.

Previously, Uzbekistan increased the heating and cold and hot water tariffs by 9.9 percent in April, 2011.

The official exchange rate is 1,742 sums to $1.
