Shareholders of Uzbek-British joint venture approve deal with Korean KDB

Shareholders of Royal Bank of Scotland Uzbekiston MB at an extraordinary general meeting last week approved the transfer of shares of Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc (RBS) in favor of the Korea Development Bank (KDB), the Uzbek-British bank told Trend on Wednesday.

The bank's representative said that shareholders approved the transfer of the bank's ordinary shares worth 1.759.74 million units in favor of KDB in accordance with the purchase contract. The amount of the transaction is not disclosed.

According to KDB, South Korean bank will pay the sum which is approximately equal to the residual value of fixed capital of RBS Uzbekiston MB.

Shareholders instructed the bank's board to take the necessary steps to make registration of KDB as a shareholder.
