By a decree of Uzbek President Islam Karimov, Hakim Mukhitdinov, heading the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information (UzACI) since October 2009, has been appointed to the previously vacant position of the president's counsellor of state for science, education and culture, a source in the government told Trend.
