Uzbekistan,Croatia to intensify cooperation

The newly appointed Ambassador of Croatia to Uzbekistan with residence in Ankara Draz Hrastich gave the credentials addressed to the President Islam Karimov to the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.

The newly appointed Ambassador of Croatia to Uzbekistan with residence in Ankara Draz Hrastich gave the credentials addressed to the President Islam Karimov to the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.

During the meeting the parties discussed the current state and future directions of further development of Uzbek-Croatian dialogue. The sides expressed confidence that accreditation Croatian Ambassador in Uzbekistan may strengthen mutually beneficial relations between the two countries.
Also at the meeting was noted that the relationship between the two countries differ in affinity and convergence of views on key issues of international and regional security.

The meeting also expressed mutual interest in expanding areas of cooperation, including through the establishment of a sound legal framework, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported..
At the meeting also sides emphasized that Uzbekistan and Croatia have considerable range of economic sectors that are of interest from the point of view of the development of bilateral trade, deepen investment cooperation, joint projects.

The sides expressed willingness to maintain contact between schools, research institutions, art and culture, and public organizations of Uzbekistan and Croatia.
