The heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states adopted a joint communiqué following a meeting, held in Tashkent on Nov. 29.

After the meeting, the heads of SCO member states signed decisions on further work on creation of the SCO Development Bank and the SCO Development Fund (a special account). They also made a joint statement on further development of cooperation in the transport sector, as well as, signed a number of documents related to the organization's activity.

A program for informing on epidemiological situation caused by infectious diseases in the territories of the SCO member states was also adopted during the meeting of the heads of SCO member states.

SCO was founded in 2001. It is a permanent intergovernmental international organization. SCO includes Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan have the observer status in the SCO and Belarus, Turkey and Sri Lanka are dialogue partners.
