UN: Uzbekistan’s GDP growth to stand at 7.1 percent in 2014

The United Nations Organization forecasts that Uzbekistan's GDP growth in 2014 will stand at 7.1 percent, according to the UN's 'World Economic Situation and Prospects 2014' report.
In 2015 the growth of Uzbekistan's economy is expected to reach 7.4 percent, according to the report.
Inflation will stand at 11 percent in 2014 and at 8.8 percent in 2015, the UN said.
The UN estimates that in 2013 inflation in Uzbekistan amounted to 10 percent.
It was previously reported that, according to Uzbek government's estimates, the GDP in 2013 grew by eight percent compared with 2012 and inflation was 6.8 percent.
Uzbek government forecasts that the economic growth in 2014 will amount to 8.1 percent and inflation will stand at 6-7 percent.
