Large Uzbek bank’s assets up by over 20%

The Qishloq Qurilish Bank, one of Uzbekistan’s largest banks, increased its assets calculated according to national accounting standards by 22.3 percent in 2015 compared to 2014, bringing them to 4.24 trillion soums.

The Qishloq Qurilish Bank, one of Uzbekistan's largest banks, increased its assets calculated according to national accounting standards by 22.3 percent in 2015 compared to 2014, bringing them to 4.24 trillion soums, the bank told Trend Feb. 22.

The bank's credit investment increased by 20.7 percent - up to 3.639 trillion soums during the reporting period.

The aggregate bank capital increased by 16.1 percent in 2015 and amounted to 431.9 billion soums, said the bank.

Qishloq Qurilish Bank was established in March 2009 by a decree of the Uzbek president. Its main shareholders are the Uzbek Finance Ministry (58.1 percent) and the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan (23.7 percent).

The official exchange rate is 2846.63 soums/$1 as of Feb. 22.
