Hungary opened its embassy in Uzbekistan, a message of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
Currently, the diplomatic mission is headed by Janos Vanik, Hungary's charge d'affaires pro tempore in Uzbekistan.
Earlier, Hungary's extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador Janos Balla was accredited to Uzbekistan with residence in Moscow.
The diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Hungary were established in March 1992.
