The Senate of the Oliy Majlis (upper house of the Uzbek parliament) has approved the law on ratification of the agreement on the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border between the Uzbek Republic and the Kyrgyz Republic at the 12th plenary meeting on October 4.
The agreement was signed in Bishkek on September 5.
The law was adopted by the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis on September 28, Gazeta.Uz reported. The law will come into force after signing by the Uzbek president.
Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev signed the law on ratification of the agreement on October 2. President Atambayev will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on October 5-6.
