InFinBank Commercial Joint Stock Bank (CJSB) finished the first stage of a large-scale digital transformation, realizing Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s order “On substantial improvement of activity of Uzbekistan Central Bank” and implementing the “Year of active entrepreneurship, innovational ideas and technologies” 2018 State program, Uzbek media reported on March 5.

According to the information, a Corporate Database has been created on a basis of software from SAP, the world leader in corporate software, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems have been implemented on the current stage.

The company also created a Loan Issuing Line for legal and natural entities on a basis of Pegasystems solutions. The project allowed to considerably increase the availability of the bank products for people, including residents of the remote regions.

The implementation partner of products for the digital transformation is Russian “SAPRUN Group” company.

The new SAP CRM system allowed to pool more than 600,000 customers of all bank’s branch offices in a single system, and to considerably speed up the service process. A customer now submits the document list only once when registering in one of the offices.

Time of customers appeal processing is reduced to 3 working days thanks to the creation of a call center and its automating. A customer can acquire detailed information about his account, submitted appeals and requests.

“We are glad to work with InFinBank CJSB, realizing the first digital transformation of a bank in Uzbekistan's history. A complex transformation of any bank is impossible without serious foundation, firm basis. It useless to set anything up on technologically outdated systems. That is why we would like to underline that our partners have chosen the right path by beginning the reformation from a digital core. The reliable, serious system will serve as a foundation for all the future processes of a digital bank. The digital core contains all the required tools and add-ons to bring new products and develop business-applications in no time,” Laziz Ahdamov, SAP Business Development Officer in Uzbekistan, noted.

Information from more than 220 sources, systems and branches of the bank, including the CRM and Loan Issuing Line, will now enter the Corporate Database. That enables the management to carry out constant control over critical errors in the business, quickly make management decisions, and form the analytical reports in all directions. A unique feature of the system is inability of manual adjustment of source data, what prevents the informational distortion and increases the reliability.

Loan requests processing has also been automated in line with InFinBank CJSB’s plans on increasing of loan capacities.

“You have to be closer to a customer in the new digital reality. We have carried out a huge work in implementation of the Loan Issuing Line, what allowed us to create a system of differentiated interest rates according to the regions, bettering the loan issuing conditions for the people, and to reduce a loan issuing time by 5 times,” Bobur Burhanov, manager of the implemented projects program and head of bank’s Loan Operations and Investment Activity Department.

Implementation of a mobile system to the IT landscape of the bank and development of a mobile application for bank’s customers, as well as the automating of numerous operational processes, including the budgeting and price formation, are planned in 2018.

SAP SE is a German software developer headquartered in Waldorf.

This is the first automating project of such scale in Uzbek banking sector.
