Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev pointed out the need to export at least 25 percent of the vegetables and fruits grown in the country to Europe and the United States, Trend reports citing the presidential press service.
The head of state made the corresponding statement during a video conference on increasing exports.
Officials from government, ministries and departments, as well as the country’s ambassadors in foreign countries took part in the event.
“Instructions were given for opening green corridors with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and the Baltic countries to create convenience for exporters of fruits and vegetables, the access to the markets of China, South Korea, Japan, India, the US and Europe,” the report says.
