Uzbekistan's cotton textile clusters to receive additional loans

The share of the UzbekFund for Reconstruction and Development in the authorized capital of Agrobank JSCB in Uzbekistan will be increased in the equivalent of $50 million at the expense of the Fund, Trend reports with reference to Norma information and legal portal.
The Ministry of Agriculture, together with the Council of Ministers of Uzbekistan's Karakalpakstan and regional governors, has formed a portfolio of orders for cotton pickers for organizing the harvest of raw cotton via a mechanized method in the current season.
These targeted funds will be used to allocate loans to cotton-textile clusters and other economic entities for the purchase of domestically produced cotton pickers at the main rate of the Central Bank. The repayable part of these loans will be used to purchase agricultural machinery of domestic production.
The chairman of the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, governors of regions and districts were tasked to form a list of applicants for cotton pickers in the regions within three days.
The Minister of Agriculture was charged to assist in the selection of applicants for cotton harvesting machines and to develop proposals for mechanizing the harvest of raw cotton.
