The total amount of sales of chemical products through the Electronic Cooperation Portal for 10M2020 amounted to 241 billion soums ($23 million), more than 3.597 local chemical enterprises were registered, in total, more than 2,763 types of products were put up for sale, Trend reports referring to Uzkimyosanoat JSC.
The positive dynamics of production in the chemical industry of Uzbekistan has been maintained for ten years in a row. Chemical production in the county has grown by over 60 percent over the past decade.
According to Uzkimyosanoat JSC, the growth rate of the chemical industry in 2020 amounted to 8.2 percent.
It was planned to produce 15 types of localized products with a volume of 369.4 billion soums ($35.3 million) within the framework of the localization program, by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers. In fact, taking into account additional projects, 22 products were produced for the amount of 757.2 billion soums ($72.4 million), or 123.7 percent of the forecast for the reporting period from January to October this year.
Moreover, the volume of production increased compared to the same period in 2019, and more than 12 new types of products were mastered, such as potash fertilizers, sodium cyanide, car tires, and others.
Active measures taken from January to October of this year to reduce the cost of production led to a reduction in costs by 255.12 billion soums ($24.4 million) (3.6 percent of annual expenses).
“The fact that about 13 percent of the goods sold through the Electronic Cooperation Portal are chemical products indicates the growth and development of the local chemical industry,” Uzkimyosanoat said.
Thus, Navoiazot Joint Stock Company signed 180 contracts for the purchase of products for 18.4 billion soums ($1.76 million) and 117 contracts for the sale of products for 50.6 billion soums ($4.84 million). Also, Maksam-Chirchik JSC signed 627 contracts for the purchase of chemical products worth 76.4 billion soums ($7.3 million). Dehkanabad Potash Plant JSC and Birinchi Rezinotexnika Zavodi LLC signed 243 contracts for a total of 21.5 billion soums ($2.05 million).
