A resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, which describes a number of measures to organize the activities of Termez International Trade Center, came into force, Trend reports referring to Norma information and legal portal.
The resolution approved the structure, charter and territories included in Termez International Trade Center State Unitary Enterprise FTZ – free trade zone, as well as a program for the development of engineering and communication, road transport and industrial infrastructure.
According to the information, the directorate of Termez International Trade Center FTZ is a legal entity with separate property, independent balance, bank accounts, including foreign currency, emblems, stamps, letterheads, and so on. The founder of the Directorate is the Cabinet of Ministers.
The main goal of the Directorate is the full and timely implementation of state programs for the development of International Trade Center Termez FTZ, operational management by ensuring compliance with a separate legal regime on the territory of the FTZ and deriving benefits from the provision of services to FTZ participants and from other services provided for by the charter.
The main activities of the Directorate are the organization of mutual cooperation of potential investors and participants of the FTZ, including the acceptance for consideration and selection of investment applications, the issuance of the necessary permits for connection to the engineering and communication infrastructure on the principle of a "single window".
Also, the Directorate will ensure the implementation of a special legal regime on the territory of the Termez International Trade Center FTZ, as well as the development program.
In addition, the Directorate will carry out environmental control, as well as control over compliance with legislation on the protection and use of cultural heritage sites on the territory of the FTZ.
It is reported that the sources of financing the activities of the Directorate are part of the income from the lease of buildings and structures located on the territory of the FTZ, income from the provision of services, as well as deductions from participants of the FTZ and other funds not prohibited by law.
It was noted that the remuneration of the employees of the Directorate is carried out at the expense of the directorate's own funds and the local budget of the Surkhandarya region.
