French SUEZ utilities company will work to reduce water leaks in water supply systems in Tashkent, the company told Trend commenting on the transformation of the water supply system in Tashkent.
According to the company, the set of smart solutions that SUEZ will implement in co-management with Uzsuvtaminot JSC, the public water management company, will help to increase the quantity of water available without drawing more water from the natural environment, as well as reducing leaks in the networks.
It is also reported that the company will participate in the financial balance of the Tashkent water service, improving the quality of the water supplied and customer service.
Regarding implementation of the practical process of the project for the transformation of the water supply system in Tashkent, the company said that the implementation of the project will begin in the summer of 2021.
In addition, the company noted that the Tashkent project, which will be developed in close cooperation with Uzsuvtaminot JSC, will also become an example for the modernization of the country's water sector and a tool for improving regulatory provisions in terms of management.
Also, commenting on its participation in the transformation of the drinking water supply system in other regions of Uzbekistan, SUEZ said that the company is working on a project to modernize the water infrastructure in Samarkand.
