Uzbekistan, Poland talk deepening interaction within international and regional structures

Uzbekistan and Poland discussed the issues of deepening interaction within the framework of international and regional structures, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

On March 16, 2021, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Zbigniew Rau in Warsaw, Poland.

The ministers discussed topical issues of Uzbek-Polish relations in political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian, and other areas.

The parties noted the fruitful results of the eighth round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries and stressed the need to continue the practice of holding this event.

In addition, the sides exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming joint events at various levels and formats.

It is noted that special attention was paid to the issues of deepening interaction within the framework of international and regional structures.

Earlier it was reported that this year Poland plans to open a showroom on the GD International textile wholesale market in Warsaw with samples of Uzbek textile products.

According to the information service of the Uztekstilprom association with reference to the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Poland Bakhrom Babayev, the export of domestic products from Uzbekistan to Poland in 2020 amounted to $62.7 million, which is 54 percent more compared to 2019.

It is noted that the main export items from Uzbekistan to Poland in 2020 were textile products and ready-made clothing (about 60 percent).
