Uzbekistan, Vietnam reached agreements on the implementation of joint investment and trade and economic projects, Trend reports with reference to Dunyo news agency.
It is reported that Deputy Foreign Minister Furkat Sidikov held an online meeting with the Ambassador of Vietnam with residence in Moscow Ngo Duc Manh, during which the parties discussed the state of Uzbek-Vietnamese relations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other areas, as well as the prospects for their further development.
According to the information, special attention during the meeting was paid to strengthening inter-parliamentary ties and cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
In addition, it was emphasized that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Vietnam has great potential for consistent expansion in almost all areas. In this context, specific proposals were considered to bring interaction between Uzbekistan and Vietnam to a qualitatively new level.
The sides also exchanged views on the organization of joint and international events with the participation of delegations of the two countries.
As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on continuing the dialogue on further building up bilateral cooperation, implementing joint investment and trade and economic projects, as well as developing exchanges in the fields of education and tourism.
