Russia’s Red Wings Airlines is considering the possibility of launching flights from Russia’s Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk to the main cities of Uzbekistan via Russian SSJ 100 aircraft, Trend reports referring to TASS citing Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.

"Red Wings is considering the possibility of launching flights from Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk to the main cities of Uzbekistan, including the capital of the country - Tashkent," the minister said.

“The management of the airlines held the negotiations with the aviation structures of Uzbekistan at the Innoprom exhibition,” Manturov said. "We see the interest of the country in the development of air communication between the two countries. These flights can be effectively made via SSJ 100 aircraft belonging to the airlines."

“The timing of the opening of such flights will depend on the restoration of air traffic and the issuance of permits by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation for specific routes,” the minister said.
