President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on measures to organize the activities of the state inspectorate for control over the safety of water facilities under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, Trend reports referring to Norma information and legal portal.
It is noted that the decree approved the structure of the State Inspection for control over the Safety of Water facilities with a maximum number of management personnel of 33 people.
The Head of the Inspectorate has the right to attract highly qualified specialists from government bodies and other organizations, design organizations, scientific and educational institutions, as well as international organizations and foreign companies as experts to ensure the fulfillment of the tasks assigned to the Inspectorate.
It is reported that the inspection is financed at the expense of the state budget and other sources not prohibited by law.
Also, under the inspectorate, an expert council for the safety of water facilities is being created. It includes the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the National Guard, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Energy and other authorized departments.
The main tasks of the expert council are to ensure effective interdepartmental interaction on the safety of water facilities with a high level of danger, consider priority issues of safety of water facilities with a high level of danger and their reliable operation, as well as issue recommendations for the implementation of urgent work on the reconstruction and re-equipment of water facilities with a high level of danger for their safe and reliable operation.
