Uzbekistan, Pakistan agree on implementation of joint projects in trade, industrial co-op

Uzbekistan and Pakistan reached an agreement on the implementation of joint projects in the areas of trade and industrial cooperation, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of Uzbekistan.

Uzbek parliamentary delegation headed by the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Nuriddinjon Ismoilov during the visit to Pakistan met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Pakistan Asad Qaiser.

At the beginning of the conversation, Qaiser proposed to intensify inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries, in addition to friendship groups, to develop new areas of cooperation between deputies, inter-committee and inter-working groups.

Ismoilov noted that representatives of the parliaments of both countries should make a worthy contribution to the development of relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan in all spheres.

In particular, he stressed that it is worth using the potential of parliaments to ensure the implementation of agreements that equally serve the interests of the two countries.

In addition, the parties reached an agreement on the development of issues of improving the regulatory framework, exchange of experience in the field of parliamentarism, commercial and industrial cooperation, implementation of joint projects in the areas of commercial and industrial cooperation, agriculture, science, education, healthcare (pharmaceuticals), pilgrimmage.
