Uzbekistan's retail trade turnover over the past 10 years has been on a steady increase, Trend reports citing the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Retail trade turnover in Uzbekistan in 2020 amounted to 194.8 trillion soums ($18.2 trillion), having increased by 17 percent over the year. For comparison in 2019, retail trade turnover amounted to 166 trillion soums ($15.5 trillion).
The volume of retail trade turnover in 2010 amounted to 21.8 trillion soums ($2 trillion), which is 172.9 trillion soums ($16.1 trillion) less than in 2020.
In the first 9 months of 2021, the retail trade turnover amounted to 167 trillion soums ($15.6 trillion).
On average, the increase in retail trade turnover over the past 10 years amounted to 17.2 trillion soums ($1.6 trillion).
