The volume of all loans issued by private banks of Uzbekistan increased from January through September 2021 by 41.5 percent compared to the same period last year, Trend reports citing the Uzbek Central Bank.
Thus, this figure from January through September 2021 amounted to 42.6 trillion soums ($3.9 billion), and in the same period of 2020 amounted to 30.1 trillion soums ($2.8 billion).
The volume of loans of the banks with a state share from January through September 2021 amounted to 268.9 trillion soums ($25 billion), which is 16.6 percent more compared to the same period last year (230.5 trillion soums or $21.5 billion).
For nine months of 2021, the volume of loans of the banks with a state share in Uzbekistan exceeded the volume of loans of private banks by 226.2 trillion soums ($21.1 billion).
In general, the total volume of all loans issued by banks of Uzbekistan from January through September 2021 amounted to 311.5 trillion soums ($29 billion).
