Uzbek Central Bank discloses volume of liquid assets

Liquid assets of the banks of Uzbekistan increased by 50 percent in 2021 compared to 2020 (50.4 trillion soums, or $4.6 billion), reaching 75.9 trillion soums ($7 billion), Trend reports referring to the Uzbek Central Bank.

During this period, liquid assets accounted for 17.7 percent of the total assets of the Uzbek banks, which is an increase of 3.5 percent compared to 2020 (14.2 percent).

The liquidity coverage ratio of Uzbek banks in 2021 amounted to 189.6 percent, which is a decrease of 34.9 percent compared to 2020 (224.5 percent). The net stable funding ratio amounted to 115.4 percent, which is an increase of 5.5 percent compared to 2020.

The instant liquidity ratio of Uzbek banks increased 1.4 times compared to 2020 (67.4 percent), reaching 99.3 percent.
