BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 14. Uzbekistan plans to launch full auto production of Lada cars, Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
Currently, the business mission of Russia’s Samara region, consisting of representatives of 37 companies, is to work on a project to launch a full cycle of production of Lada cars in Uzbekistan.
It is expected that the new production line will be organized at the ADM Jizzakh automobile plant on the territory of the Jizzakh free economic zone in the Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan.
The launch of the production is scheduled for 2024.
New production facilities are being built at the plant, where equipment for SKD assembly of the most popular Lada Vesta SW and Lada Xray car models will be installed.
The business mission will also discuss with the partners from Uzbekistan the organization of the production of components necessary for the assembly of cars in the country.
