BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. Uzbekistan plans to organize an agricultural machinery cluster in the city of Chirchik, Trend reports via the press service of the Uzbek president.
The launch of the cluster is scheduled for January, 2023.
To date, the equipment of the former Uzbek Tekhnolog and Agregat plants has been completely relocated there.
On April 14, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation on the development of the agricultural engineering cluster.
In accordance with the presidential decree of July 31, 2019, a new system of state support for production and purchase of agricultural machinery was created.
In particular, only in the first quarter of this year, subsidies worth 23 billion soums ($2 million) were allocated for the purchase of 1,600 pieces of equipment.
As a result of the modernization of production facilities carried out in 2021, the cost of tractors decreased by $4,600.
