TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 27. Uzbekistan GTL eyes reaching 100 percent capacity by 2023, First Deputy CEO, Project Director at Uzbekistan GTL LLC Odiljon Karimov told reporters on the sidelines of a press tour to the Uzbekistan GTL plant, Trend reports.
According to him, 750,000 tons of diesel fuel, 300,000 tons of kerosene, and 400,000 tons of naphtha will be produced by 2023.
"Given the recent start of production, the company plans to produce 20-25 percent of the overall capacity," Karimov stated.
He noted that the primary objective of the GTL plant is to satisfy the local market demand, and only thereafter will the export of products be carried out.
"We had initially expected to sell 80 percent of goods on the local market and export 20 percent of them, but it all depends on the local market demand," said Karimov.
