BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 1. The regulatory capital of the banks of Uzbekistan amounted to 76.8 trillion soums ($7.1 billion) as of June 1, 2022, which is an increase of 25.8 percent compared to the same period last year (61 trillion soums or $5.6 billion), Trend reports referring to the Uzbek Central Bank.

During this period, the capital of the first tier accounted for 65.7 trillion soums ($6 billion), which is an increase of 23.1 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 (53.4 trillion soums, or $4.9 billion).

The capital of the second tier as of June 1, 2022, increased by 18 percent and reached 11 trillion soums ($1 billion). As of June 1, 2021, his indicator amounted to 7.6 trillion soums ($704 million).

At the same time, the capital of the first tier accounted for 85.6 percent of the total regulatory capital, and the second tier accounted for 14.4 percent.
