BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. Uzbekistan manufactured leather and footwear products worth 2.3 trillion soums ($210.4 million) from January through June, 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
During this period, production of more than 5 types of products that were not previously manufactured in the country was launched.
From January through June, 2022, 24 new projects worth $35.1 million have been implemented in the leather and footwear industry.
As a result of the launch of these projects, new capacities worth 375 billion soums ($34.3 million) and 1,280 new jobs have been created.
