BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 3. Uzbekistan slightly increased crop production from January through June 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
During this period, Uzbekistan produced 5 million tons of grain crops, 3.22 million tons of vegetables, 1.61 million tons of potatoes, 229,800 tons of melons, 971,900 tons of fruits and berries, 48,100 tons of grapes.
In value terms, crop production amounted to 54.1 trillion soums ($4.94 billion), which is 3.8 percent more than in the first half of 2021.
According to the statistics committee, over the past 10 years, agricultural production has grown 6.6 times.
