BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 15. Uzbekistan has exported 16,900 tons of apples worth $6.6 million to seven countries from January through July 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
According to the committee, this figure increased by 8,300 tons compared to the same period last year.
During this period, Uzbekistan sent largest volume of apples to Kazakhstan (11,600 tons). Russia is in second place with an indicator of 3,800 tons, followed by Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.
Among the regions of Uzbekistan, the largest volume of apples was exported from the Fergana region, which sent 5,100 tons of apples abroad, followed by the Khorezm region – 4,300 tons, the Bukhara region – 1,500 tons and the Tashkent region – 1,400 tons.
