BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 20. The State Assets Management Agency of Uzbekistan has announced a competition to select a professional consulting company that will develop a strategy for the privatization of Uzbekistan Airways, Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.

The selected company will have to divide its work into two stages. During the first, a report will be prepared with an analysis of the civil aviation sector of Uzbekistan, and during the second - direct recommendations for the sale of the company as a whole, as well as its assets separately.

Uzbekistan Airways operates regular flights to more than 50 destinations, including countries in Europe, Asia and North America. Representative offices of the airline operate in more than 20 cities around the world.

At the end of 2021, the enterprise received a net income of 6.3 trillion soums ($575.8 million) and a net profit of 53.7 billion soums ($4.9 million), its authorized capital is 4.2 trillion soums ($383,912).
