BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 11. Uzbekistan simplifies the process of obtaining a residence permit for foreign property owners, Trend reports via Uzbek media.

Foreigners owning property worth over $300,000 in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent, and over $100,000 in Karakalpakstan, will obtain the right to stay in the country faster than other applicants.

In general, the process of reviewing applications for residence permits takes 128 working days, regardless of the region, since now this process will hold two times faster for property owners.

Since 2022, citizens of 108 countries have been allowed to buy housing without a residence permit.

The residence permit in Uzbekistan is issued for a period of five years.

Foreigners have the right to extend their Uzbek residence permit only 5 times.

Furthermore, an application for a residence permit can be issued through an online system.
