BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 20. Uzbekistan’s Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) has ordered a large number of conveyors from Germany, Trend reports via Uzbek media.
AMMC has placed the order for 54 conveyors from Aumund Fördertechnik. According to Aumund, this is the biggest order since the company's establishment in 1922.
The overall sum of the order was not revealed, yet Aumund said it will supply four identical types of Arched Plate Conveyors for $3.34 billion.
Meanwhile, some 6 conveyors will operate under the primary crushers, and 16 conveyors will each operate as extraction conveyors under the stockpile and under the secondary crushers and secondary screens, while the capacities will range from 714 to 6000 tph of copper ore, the plate widths are between 1600 and 2400 mm.
AMMC produced commodity products worth 30.5 trillion soums ($2.7 billion) in 2022. This figure decreased by 0.66 percent, compared to the figure for 2021.
During the reporting period, combine produced copper cathode (148,510 tons), followed by gold (17,200 tons), silver (161,200 tons), zinc (91,360 tons), sulfuric acid (824,227 tons), as well as rare metals, such as molybdenum (1,177 tons), and tungsten (33,800 tons).
