BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 7. The enterprises of Uzbekistan increased manufacturing of macaroni products in January 2023, Trend reports with reference to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
According to the information, during the reporting period, Uzbekistan produced 1,100 tons of pasta products, increasing by 43.8 percent, compared to the same period in 2022.
The latest data of the committee notes that, from January through November 2022, the country’s large enterprises manufactured 14,400 tons of macaroni products – an increase of 30.1 percent, compared to the last 11 months of 2021.
Meanwhile, in January 2023, Uzbekistan manufactured food products worth 4.04 trillion soums ($356.4 million) – a decrease of 10.2 percent, compared to the figure for January 2022(4.5 trillion soums or $396.9 million).
At the same time, during the first month of this year, industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan produced products worth 33.6 trillion soums ($2.9 billion) - an increase of 2.1 percent, compared to the figure for January 2022 (32.9 trillion soums or $2.8 billion).
